Dr. Gireesh Kumar K. P. is one of the pioneers of emergency medicine in India. At Amrita he helped establish the MD programme in Emergency Medicine and training for emergency medical technicians, and he now serves as Principal of Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi.

He has written more than a dozen books on emergency care, including the Handbook of Diabetic Emergencies, and leads the faculty team behind MD/MS Mandatory Essentials.

AETCM carries his practical, protocol-driven teaching to learners beyond the classroom through its YouTube channel and publications.
